Word Works Academy is a religious-exempt organization that serves preschool children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. We offer before and after school care for students, up to age 12, who attend Newport News Public schools. We also provide summer camp programs for children up to age 12. Religious exemption means that WWA is owned and operated by a religious institution, The Word Works Worship Center (T3WC). The Word Works Worship Center has a tax-exempt status as a nonprofit organization. WWA operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulations with regard to food service activities, health and sanitation, water supply, building codes, and the Statewide Fire Prevention Code. Our program offers quality care and quality education, while promoting spiritual, educational, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.

It is the purpose of Word Works Academy (WWA), a religious-exempt organization, to promote educational and spiritual growth, ONE child at a time. WWA provides a balanced, high-quality educational experience, which allows each child the opportunity to grow in their relationship with God, develop an honorable character, and reach their academic potential, both now and in preparation for continuing education.
